RISE United FC Debuts New Kit Sponsored by SOS Security at Market Road Summer Tournament

On Wednesday 27 August 2025, RISE United FC proudly took part in the Market Road Annual Summer Football Tournament, one of North London’s most anticipated community sporting events. Hosted by local Islamic organisations, the tournament brought together over eight talented teams in an atmosphere filled with energy, teamwork and friendly competition — a true celebration of unity through sport.

This year’s tournament held special significance for RISE United, as the team officially unveiled their new kit sponsored by SOS Security. What began as a simple conversation in a shared office space has grown into a powerful local partnership. SOS Security, a company deeply rooted in North London, has been a long-standing supporter of RISE Projects’ work across Haringey — from youth engagement to community safety. Their sponsorship represents more than just a logo on a shirt; it’s a genuine investment in young people, community wellbeing and the future of grassroots football.

Under the guidance of coach Ibrahim Rashid and captain Yousri Belabbes, RISE United showcased exceptional teamwork and discipline throughout the group stages, advancing confidently into the semi-finals. New signings Marlon and Michael made an immediate impact, sharing five goals between them and bringing renewed energy and attacking flair to the squad. While the team’s journey ended in the semi-finals, their progress reflected the dedication, growth and spirit that defines RISE United.

Beyond the tournament, the event highlighted the wider purpose of RISE United — to create pathways for young people to develop leadership, resilience and a sense of belonging. Many of the players come from communities where access to structured sport can be limited, and RISE United provides a safe, positive environment that extends beyond the pitch.

As the team now looks ahead to the upcoming Islington League season, they do so with optimism and determination. With continued backing from SOS Security and the wider community, RISE United FC remains committed to using football as a force for change — building confidence, opportunity and connection for the next generation in Haringey and beyond.

Together, we’re not just building a football team — we’re building a community that helps young people rise.
