RISE PROJECTS TEAM
Awale Elmi is the Director and Co-Founder of RISE Projects, an award-winning community organisation established in 2016 to empower young people, families and underserved communities across Haringey and North London.
With extensive experience in charity leadership, community development, health inequalities and partnership working, Awale has led the development of programmes addressing mental health, physical wellbeing, youth development, employment, housing, social isolation and access to essential services. Under his leadership, RISE Projects has built strong partnerships with the NHS, Haringey Council, local schools, voluntary organisations and other public-sector agencies.
Ahmed is the Director of Services at RISE Projects, where he oversees the planning, coordination and delivery of the organisation’s community programmes. He works closely with staff, volunteers and partner organisations to ensure services are well managed, accessible and responsive to the needs of local residents.
Ahmed has played an important role in RISE’s work with men and families, including supporting the delivery of the Stronger Men, Healthier Neighbourhoods programme. He is committed to creating welcoming spaces where residents can improve their health and wellbeing, build confidence, access support and develop stronger connections within their community.
