Drop-In Information
We host weekly drop-ins for members of the community to gather and ask questions about basic needs and services offered to the people of Haringey. You can find us at our RISE Projects Hub, N17 8DX. Simply sign in as a visitor downstairs and come to see us on the second floor!
Language and translation services are essential components of community engagement at Rise Projects, particularly as we work to serve Tottenham’s diverse population. Recognizing that Somali is a key language within our community, we have dedicated significant resources to ensure that vital information and services are accessible to Somali speakers. Through our translation services, community members can access educational materials, healthcare information, and legal advice in their native language, which not only improves comprehension but also fosters trust and inclusivity. This commitment to linguistic diversity helps bridge the gap between service providers and the community, ensuring that no one is left behind due to language barriers.
In addition to translation, we actively promote language learning and cultural exchange initiatives that celebrate Somali heritage while encouraging bilingualism. By hosting workshops and language classes, Rise Projects creates opportunities for both Somali speakers and those learning the language to engage, collaborate, and build stronger relationships. These efforts not only empower Somali community members to confidently navigate public services but also enrich the broader cultural fabric of Tottenham, ultimately contributing to a more connected, informed, and resilient community.
